FOOD SAFETY
The health of our customers stands above everything. All foils that are supplied by Vitra, meet the highest quality standards. Before, during and after the production foils will be checked systematically. foils There are other tests performed by the printers at the printing press. Extensive checks happen in the Vitra lab, for example our systematic measurements of peddling restsol. Furthermore, migration and traceability are important topics for our quality service.
MIGRATION
Several customers have questions about global and specific migration of components from the packaging to the food product. Vitra has done some additional research in cooperation with various specialized organization about the migration happen. Among other research that was carried out into the impact of printing and laminating foil on the migration.
Vitra selects the raw materials for inks and adhesives being proactive on legislation, participates and grants the aid to various committees (Pack4Food, FOVV, …) for research into (the migration of) ingredients in inks and adhesives. TRACEABILITY
Vitra works according to a complete traceability system. The supply chain (foils, inks, adhesives, additives, solvents, ...) is succeeded through the entire production process to delivery to the customer. When a question is ask. Vitra is able to check quickly and to act fast.
